Meet the Author

Hi! I’m Abigail, and I’m thrilled that you’ve taken the time to get to know me a little better. I live in a suburban development in a rural town on Lake Ontario near Rochester, NY. My husband and I met at college and were married in 2003. We have 4 beautiful children, Cordelia, Zachary, Jacob, and Christian, and couldn’t be more proud of them.

When I’m not writing, I’m singing on my worship team at church (well, singing anywhere, really!) and volunteering at my children’s schools (especially with the music department). You might also find me curled up with a good book, drinking coffee and talking with a great friend, walking or hiking, or playing games with my family. You might even catch me with my feet up watching some Asian dramas or Anime.

I love the Lord and all that He has created, though at times I struggle with this love for all part. I am a work in progress, and I lean into Him and trust Him to help me, lead me, guide me through life until He calls me home.

About my Blog

I love the idea and imagery of the path. I love that God, throughout the Bible, uses this concrete image to show us how He wants us to come to Him, and how He wants to help guide us there. With walking God’s path comes choices. We need to choose to walk His path, and not just once; we need to constantly choose to walk it. Every step we take, every decision that we make, we are making a choice: God’s way or ours? God or the world? And sometimes it’s not easy making the choice that should be obvious to us as believers.

But how gracious is God? How awesome is He? For every path that leads us astray, He has one to lead us right back to him, and He welcomes us with open arms each and every time.

This is what I write about.

There will be confessions, reminders, and celebrations

Fridays are known as “Fiction Fridays.” In these posts, I will work on my own fiction writing (I need to hone my craft!), write about a book I’ve read in the fiction category, or have a list of books that I’m looking forward to reading.

Thanks for letting me write!

Sincerely,
Abigail
